The clinical study conducted at the University Hospital Münster under the guidance of Prof. Dr. med. Sabine Kliesch, involving 241 participants, has validated the efficacy of Kranus Edera. This study demonstrated not only significant improvements in erectile function but also in overall quality of life and patient activation. A notable finding was the high level of therapy adherence, with 88.9% of participants using the app several times a week, indicating its effective integration into daily patient routines.
Clinical efficacy for Kranus Lutera validated by RCT study.
The BEST study*, an RCT at evidence level Ib, confirms the efficacy of Kranus Lutera. It shows significant improvements in symptom burden in BPH and OAB as well as increased quality of life for all patient groups and severity levels. High treatment adherence was observed with 89.62% of participants. The study was conducted by Prof. Dr. med. Sandra Schönburg (University Hospital Halle) and Prof. Dr. med. Christian Gratzke (University Hospital Freiburg).

What is a DiGA?
DiGA , short for Digital Health App, are digital tools that help people treat illness or manage health problems. Our DiGA can be used on smartphones or tablets.
In order to be recognised as a DiGA and thus billable as a health insurance benefit, an application must be submitted to the BfArM (Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices) for each application and the subsequent examination procedure must be passed.
Who is allowed to prescribe a DiGA?
All physicians who have a health insurance fund seat for billing to the statutory health insurance fund can prescribe DiGA.
Are DiGAs reimbursed by health insurance companies?
Yes, DiGAs* represent a new category of therapeutic options alongside medicines, remedies and aids, the effectiveness and benefits of which have been proven in studies. Approval is granted through a standardised procedure by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices. For patients with statutory health insurance, DiGAs are prescribed by means of a PZN on a health insurance prescription; patients with private health insurance must apply to their health insurance company in advance for the costs to be covered. Together with the prescription, the patient receives an activation code from their health insurance company, which gives them access to the app.

Kranus Edera is an extrabudgetary service and does not burden your medicine or remedy budget.

Kranus Health digital health applications are compatible with Apple devices with software version iOS 15.x and higher.

Important notice:
It is mandatory to use an official version of an iOS or Android operating system with the corresponding versions of the stores (Apple Store or Play Store). This applies in particular to Huawei brand smartphones without an Android operating system and therefore without an official Google Play Store!
Digital health applications from Kranus Health can only be installed via the official stores and not via alternative platforms. On the one hand for security reasons, because we cannot reliably administer updates there, for example, or can only guarantee the unimpaired delivery of the app, but also because we need individual services from the stores.
It is therefore unfortunately not possible to provide the apps via apk pure or other channels.
